Recognizing the benefits of joining forces and making our voice stronger in the European research community, the EASN Board of Directors took the decision to join the the Initiative for Science in Europe (ISE) as a full member. The Initiative for Science in Europe (ISE) is an independent platform of European Learned Societies and Research Organizations operating within different disciplines and across sectors. ISE supports all fields of science at a European level, involves researchers in the design and implementation of European science policies, and advocates strong independent scientific advice in European policy making.

EASN is represented in the General Assembly of ISE by Prof. Elena Jasiuniene (Kaunas University of Technology) and Dr. Helge Pfeiffer (KU Leuven).
