There is war in Europe and we call on all actors in this grave conflict to do their best to end military action and to find peaceful solutions for the benefit of all concerned parties. In the European Aeronautics Science Network we strongly condemn the Russian invasion in Ukraine. In view of this military aggression, the EASN Board of Directors has decided to suspend all scientific cooperation with institutes as well as with individuals who have publicly expressed their support to the war.

We fully support the sovereign rights of the people of Ukraine and we reach our hand to all victims of this war to help them in their situation as far our possibilities are concerned. We also encourage our members and their institutions to search for possibilities for our colleagues to continue their work in their respective domain to support their families, but also for students to enable continuing their education. Last but not least, science has always been able to bridge the gap between different nations and convictions, and EASN stands for collaborative projects across Europe and beyond. We strongly believe that our organisation can and will always play an important role under this aspect.
