The first EASN Newsletter for 2017 is now published.

This issue includes updates on the recent undertakings of the European Aeronautical community, as well as on some of the topmost upcoming news and events.

Find inside the first announcement for the 7th EASN International Conference, to take place between 26 and 29 September 2017 in Warsaw. Also in this issue a report on the 6th EASN International Conference which took place between 18 and 21 of October 2016 in Porto and was attended by more than 250 participants. In the frame of the 6th EASN International Conference also the 7th General Assembly of the association was held and a new B.o.D was elected.

This Newsletter contains a very stimulating interview of Dietrich Knoerzer who has been part of the European Commission's Aeronautics Research Programme since it began some 30 years ago. As always, the current issue includes a series of other engaging topics including information on the two recently published Clean Sky calls, the 5th Call for Proposals (CfP05) and the 4th Call for Core Partners.
