The third periodic EASN newsletter of 2014 is now published.

Having the first Call for core partners of Clean Sky 2, the first aviation call of H2020 and one of the most successful Workshops behind us, EASN is releasing its third newsletter of 2014.
This issue includes the highlights of the EASN activities such as the signing of the MoU with EACP, announcement of the next EASN workshop in September 2014, news regarding the EASN involvement in ACARE and other groups and committees, activities taking place throughout Europe from the Aeronautics stakeholders and the latest progress of a number of currently running research projects.
Last, but certainly not least, Prof. Dieter Schmitt, in an not-to-be-missed interview, evaluates the up to date achievements of Aeronautics-related research in Europe and accordingly appraises the prospects of research and innovation for the future. Dieter Schmitt, one of the EASN founding members, is widely recognised as one of the key personalities of the European aeronautics community having served in positions such as Vice-President of Airbus, Technical Director at Bauhans Luftfahrt and Professor in Munich University.
