The second periodic EASN newsletter of 2014 is now published.

The Clean Sky Joint Undertaking has launched the First Call for Core Partners for the Clean Sky 2 Programme. A number of "strategic" events and forums have taken place in the last few months, in which EASN was actively involved and outlines of these activities are included in the current newsletter. Of particular interest has been the workshop carried out dealing with the educational needs of young engineers and researchers. Two key personalities in this field, namely Prof. Jan van Ingen and Prof. Franco Bernelli, express their views on the European education system.

As usual, updates about the recent achievements of running research projects and news from the European Aviation community are also included in this issue.
