The EASN WORKSHOP TOWARDS the 3rd FP7 CALL took place in Istanbul on May 14th -15th, 2009 with significant success. The main aim of the Workshop was to establish the Turkish EASN branch. The attendants of the workshop were informed about the EASN Association and its most active interest groups along with various opportunities offered for both researchers and students through the association. Thus, involvement of especially the Turkish researchers in the existing interest groups and activities was promoted. Through the discussions which took place, possible projects which could be endorsed by EASN for the 3rd FP7 call were presented. The presentations given at the workshop are available in the attached file.
Remarkable was also the procedure of electing the new National Contact Point in Turkey which had as an outcome the unanimous election of Dr. Sekran Ozgen.
