    EASN Association logo

    Dear Colleagues,

We would like to seize the opportunity and cordially thank all of you who have participated to the 11th EASN Virtual Conference. Many thanks are also due to the Keynote Speakers, Session Chairs, Authors and Presenters as well as to the International Scientific Committee who have contributed to making this event a success. Finally, it would have been an omission, if we wouldn’t express our sincere thanks to the EASN Conference Team for organizing and supporting this demanding virtual event.

We are happy and proud to note that through the years the EASN Conference has been established as a major dissemination event of European research related to Aviation and Space. This year, 85 currently running research projects exploited the 3-days technical program to present their activities and achieved goals, to discuss on current trends and future needs of the aeronautics research and to identify possible synergies.

Moreover, the 11th EASN Virtual Conference has served as a forum where innovative ideas, breakthrough concepts and disruptive technologies were presented with the aim to establish new research partnerships. Furthermore, the Conference included a number of thematic sessions and technical workshops on topics of particular interest to the European Aviation and Space Community.

Yet, we are recognizing that not everything has been as we would have wished. The fully virtual format of the event, which once more was necessary due to the COVID pandemic, has been an obstacle for extensive networking and face to face meetings, both being essential elements for enhancing interactions and creating new synergies for future collaborations.

Therefore, we are happy to announce the 12th EASN International Conference, which will be held in Barcelona, Spain from the 18th to the 21st of October 2022 and will be with physical participation.

We kindly ask you to save the dates in your agendas and we are looking forward to welcoming you in person.

    Sincerely,

    The Conference Chairpersons

    Prof. Andreas Strohmayer
