Interview of Dr. Andreas Strohmayer, Professor for Aircraft Design at University of Stuttgart and Member of the Board of Directors of EASN
One of EASN's objectives is to support the research activities of European academia in the field of aeronautics in order to incubate technological innovation and to disseminate knowledge. In this context EASN is proposing ASTORIA, a research infrastructure based on modular Unmanned Aerial Systems targeted at open Research and Innovation Actions in Europe. Within the EASN board of directors Andreas Strohmayer, together with Helge Pfeiffer and Spiros Pantelakis, has taken the lead of this initiative to take it to a next step.

Interview with regards to Joint Paper on Aeronautics Research and Innovation in Horizon Europe
The EASN Association, the Association of European Research Establishments in Aeronautics (EREA) and the AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD), signed recently the Joint Paper on Aeronautics Research and Innovation in Horizon Europe. Joint Paper on Aeronautics Research and Innovation in Horizon Europe EASN-EREA-ASD

EASN (European Aeronautics Science Network), EREA (Association of  European Research Establishments in Aeronautics) and ASD (AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe) have decided to propose a joint approach in order to foster coherence and coordination of Research and Innovation actions across the aeronautics sector.

8th EASN-CEAS International Workshop on Manufacturing for Growth & Innovation
The European Aeronautics Science Network successfully carried out the 8th EASN-CEAS International Workshop on "Manufacturing for Growth & Innovation", in Glasgow between the 4th and 7th of September. The EASN Association, the Council of European Aerospace Societies (CEAS) and the University of Glasgow would like to address a big thank you to the Key Note Speakers, Session Chairs, Authors and Presenters, the members of the Scientific Committee and everyone else who has contributed to make this workshop one more successful gathering of the Association.

Interview of Dr. Helge Pfeiffer, Secretary General of the EASN Association
Recently, the EASN Association organized the 2nd Parliamentary Breakfast at the European Parliament, followed by an Open Workshop at the premises of the European Commission under the topic "Accelerated impact of academic aviation research for improved air transport for all European citizens". Dr. Helge Pfeiffer, Secretary General of the EASN Association, was the coordinating person for the organization of this dual event. We are happy to share with you his view on the result of this EASN initiative.
